Stanley and Emma were going to motor East for their honeymoon. Mrs. Valleau thought maybe Stanley’s younger brother Glen (age 17) should go with them just in case they had car trouble. As it turned out, they had several flat tires, in fact on the worst day of the trip they had 7, YES, 7 flats in one day, can you just imagine. When they returned home all they had between the three of them was 35 cents…

None of them had any children .

Warrens Military Career provided by Warren

After living for a short period of time in Wainwright, Pemberton and Houston, our family moved to Salmon Arm in 1963. My dad moved us to Pemberton so that he could work with a pastor. He was then asked by the denomination (Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada) to work with a very small church in Houston. My mother said that neither experience was very positive and that my father learned that he was not cut out to be a pastor – and my mother was not cut out to be a pastor’s wife!

Immediately following graduation I joined the Canadian Forces in 1977.

Following six years of military college, I began my career for the Air Force as an aerospace engineering officer. I met my wife Terry in Edmonton, where I was first posted, we were married in 1984.

We were posted to locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New York and Colorado.

I spent a total of 37.5 years in the military before retiring in December 2014.

A few months following my retirement, we moved to Cumberland, BC, located in the beautiful Comox Valley.

I am working on my life-long goal of becoming a fluent french speaker and generally I just putter around. We also enjoy spending time with the grandchildren live close by.

🔻 2007 – Philip Jonathan Schalm married Keltie Shalaine Moore on May 12, 2007 in Comox, BC. They currently reside in Comox, BC.

Philip is the chief technical officer for a company called Simplex Mobility that is based in Edmonton. The company provides mobile communication management services for other companies and corporations. Philip is the head guy for everything related to programming, database management, website development, etc. He works out of his home in Comox.
